THE video of a King Cobra entering a village in Southern India looking for water has gone viral. The venomous snake was looking for water during a severe drought according to reports.

With global warming and rising temperatures, cases like this may become more common. Officials have said wildlife in the area has been severely affected by the dry weather.

This particular incident involving the massive snake unfolded in Karnataka’s Kaiga township, one of the worst affected regions by the drought. The snake was later taken to a rescue centre.
