Car bursts into flames after crash

The car, a Peugeot crashed into a precast wall, before bursting into flames.

MYSTERY surrounds a crash scene where a vehicle, which was abandoned, burst into flames early on Sunday morning. The accident occurred at about 1am at the intersection of Kenneth Kaunda (Northway) and Burleigh Crescent confirmed Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen.

“Paramedics were called for a serious motor vehicle collision.  When we arrived we discovered that a Peugeot had crashed into a precast wall, before bursting into flames.  The vehicle was abandoned. The blaze was extinguished thanks to the swift work of the eThekwini Fire and Rescue Services. The scene was handed over to the Durban North SAPServices for further investigation,” he said.

On Saturday, a driver was injured after his truck overturned on the N2/M41 uMhlanga construction site.
