Biker seriously injured in Glen Anil crash

The cause of the collision is still being investigated by authorities.

A BIKER was injured in a collision at the intersection of Old North Coast Road and Cypress Drive on Thursday afternoon. According to Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen,  the accident occurred at about 1pm.

“When paramedics arrived on scene, they found the crumpled remains of a super-bike crushed beneath a vehicle. The motorcyclist, approximately 30 years old, suffered serious injuries and advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise him, before he was placed onto a specialised stretcher used for the prevention of neck and spinal cord injuries, and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital,” he said.

Van Reenen added the cause of the collision was unknown.
