WATCH: Guide stands up to elephant with stick

The video was uploaded earlier this year.

A VIDEO of a grumpy elephant facing off with a tracker on a safari in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger National Park has got the internet in a stir.

Filmed by Anja Lehmann, author of the travel blog “Never Seen Before”, earlier this year, the video has been viewed more than 50 000.

“This elephant decided to take a closer look at the Safari tourists when he suddenly got a bit to close. The experienced tracker sitting on the front of the open safari vehicle took his “Knobkierie”(Traditional African weapon) made out of wood and started to wave it at the elephant. Maybe the elephant saw this as the trunk of a bigger elephant but it immediately backed off. Amazing sighting for the visitors,” said the Kruger National Park YouTube page.
