The invention is gaining popularity in China.

EVERY week, the Northglen News brings you ‘Things You Never Knew Existed’. This week it’s the ‘Umbrella Raincoat’, the latest in rainwear that looks bizarre but promises to keep you dry.

As the name suggests, this innovative rainwear accessory combines the raincoat and the umbrella. The device is all the rage in China. The device simply unfolds and can be fastened underneath your arms to secure to your body.
