Broadacres Pre-Primary the perfect environment to nurture talented youngsters

Submissions are open for next year’s intake at this pre-school with a heart for the arts.

Broadacres Pre Primary was opened in 1999 offering the pre-primary curriculum enhanced by a unique pre-primary music appreciation course, daily art experiences and dance/drama classes incorporating folk-dance and ballet.

Pupils are tutored in piano and violin in Grade R and all ages enjoy percussion classes, learning to read rhythmic patterns and play tuned and untuned percussion instruments.

Pupils of the Grade R class have won the Queensburgh Music Festival Orff percussion Shield for the past  15  years and enter the Challenge Olympiad annually.  Past pupils have achieved excellent results in the formal education phase. Many are awarded academic colours and most continue learning a musical instrument.

The school has a fully equipped indoor gym/P.E. area for the development of gross motor skills (in all weather).

The playground encourages social interaction on the numerous jungle gyms and other outdoor equipment. Several concerts are held each year culminating in a grand graduation ceremony for the Grade R class and a Nativity Play involving all our pupils.

Our teachers are qualified, have current first aid certificates and are dedicated to assisting each child to reach his/her full potential.  Small classes enable teachers to afford extra time to pupils who may need assistance in developmental areas. Our Friday Playgroup affords mothers of children not yet attending pre-primary full time, a morning of indulgence without their children. All children aged 2 to 6 years old are welcome to participate in a morning of fun.

Broadacres offers full or half day care, closing only for the December school holidays and on public holidays. We cater for children aged 2 to 6 years old.
