I Care appeals for donations to share Easter with street children
I Care has been transforming the lives of street children in the city for the past 17 years.
LOCAL NGO, I Care is appealing to the public to donate boxes of marshmallow Easter Eggs that will be given to the street children that they work with.
The organisation, aims to give street children a future through a holistic programme includes awareness, outreach, rehabilitation, housing, education and skills development or job creation.
Donations can be dropped off at Christ Church in Umhlanga at 57 Hambridge Avenue, Somerset Park. The deadline is Wednesday, 17 April.

Gail Elson, I Care’s marketing manager said donations could be dropped off anytime during office hours.
“The children so appreciate receiving Easter Eggs that have so kindly been donated by schools and the public each year,” added Elson.

Donations in lieu of Easter eggs will also be welcome.
“Please help us to help these children – do not give them money but rather give them a future by donating to I Care where we give them hope and a future,” said Elson.
