Chic fashion for a good cause

Attendees can expect to shop for stunning clothes while supporting a good cause.

NON-profit organisation, Chic Mamas Do Care (CMDC) are looking forward to hosting a fashion event in Durban North for the first time on Friday, 6 December from 9am until 5pm and Saturday, 7 December from 9am until 2pm at Danville Park Girl’s High School.

Attendees can expect to find stunning clothes that support a good cause.

“Our events are such fun with lots of satisfied shoppers helping us raise money for our preschool educational projects. We sell excellent quality pre-loved clothing through two fashion events every year. All our clothing and accessories are donated from individual supporters, clothing retailers, boutiques and designers. With the idea of reducing, reusing and recycling no longer wanted, good quality garments, we create sustainable and eco-friendly funding opportunities and in doing so, have a positive impact on the environment,” said Jenny Du Bois, head of CMDC.

The initiative blends a love of fashion with a heart for the community.

“We are the mamas on a mission. We are the Durban wing of Chic Mamas Do Care, a South African charity, on a mission to support early childhood development and education through sustainable fundraising. We are passionate about education and we believe in the importance of early childhood development to give children in our communities the opportunity to grow in safe and stimulating environments. We have created a chic, fun and sustainable way of fundraising, to support our ongoing projects,” said Du Bois.
