UKZN warns about misleading messages doing the rounds

False messages informs students that they have been accepted.

THE University of KwaZulu-Natal has cautioned students and parents about unauthorised, false and misleading messages from unofficial and unknown sources.

In a statement on Facebook, the university said the message falsely informs students that they have been accepted to study at UKZN and have been offered residence.

“Under no circumstances would the university send an email to undergraduate students requesting them to click on a link to accept an offer,” the university said in the statement.
