One person was critically injured in the accident on the N2.

FOUR people were injured in a collision between a truck and several vehicles on the N2 on Friday afternoon.

The accident occurred just after 12 on Friday on the N2 northbound between Sunningdale and uMhlanga said Netcare 911 spokesperson, Shawn Herbst.

“Reports from the scene indicate that a truck and two cars were involved in a collision resulting in the truck leaving the road coming to rest down an embankment. One person from the car and one person from the truck had sustained critical injuries and were treated on scene by Emergency Care Practitioners.

“Two occupants from the truck were treated on scene while Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to free them from the wreckage. A fourth patient from one of the light motor vehicles had sustained moderate injuries. Once stabilised all the patients were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment,” he said.
