Man hijacked on off-ramp near eMdloti
The suspects, using a black Ford Ranger, blocked the victim's vehicle before hijacking him.

A LA LUCIA resident was hijacked on Sunday evening on the eMdloti off-ramp just after 6pm by two armed men.
According to Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesperson for the Durban North SAPS, the resident stopped at a Stop street when he was confronted by the suspects just after 6pm.
“The suspects, using a black Ford Ranger, pulled in front of him and two men brandishing handguns jumped out of the vehicle. One of the suspects approached the driver’s door side while the other approached the passenger window. He was forced out of his vehicle and was told to lie on the ground.

“The suspects then got into his vehicle and drove off in the direction of Verulam. The suspects did not harm the La Lucia resident nor did they take any of his valuables. The victim managed to flag down a driver who dropped him off in the area where he opened a case of carjacking,” Deokaran said.
Police are still searching for the hijacked vehicle, a BMW X5 with ND number plates.
No arrests have yet been made, confirmed Deokaran.
