Suspect evades arrest after Glenhills housebreaking

One of the arrested suspects appeared in the Durban Magistrate's Court earlier today.

ONE suspect was arrested and one suspect fled on foot after a Rinaldo Road resident called for help at approximately 3am on Saturday, 14 November. 
 
Captain Jermone Slater, spokesperson for the Greenwood Park SAPS, confirmed that one suspect appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 16 November. 
“No property was stolen. Two suspects fled from the scene but Marshall Security managed to apprehend one suspect, aged 26. Detectives are profiling and trying to find the second suspect,” he said.

Tyron Powell of Marshall security said the suspect was apprehended on the premises.

“The other suspect was spotted running on Allamanda Road. A search was conducted for the second suspect but he managed to evade arrest,” he added.
 
Marshall Security officers were dispatched to the house after their Emergency Dispatch Centre received several panic alerts from a client, explained Powell.
 
 
“Our armed reaction officers were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon entering the client’s premises, reaction officers noticed two suspects fleeing from the premises towards Allamanda Road,” he said.
 
The suspect was handed over to SAPS for further investigation and processing.
