Suspect wanted in connection to murder case arrested in Greenwood Park

According to provincial SAPS spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele the suspect will appear in court tomorrow.

POLICE have arrested a 21-year-old suspect wanted in connection to a murder in Nsuze (KZN). 

According to provincial SAPS spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele the suspect was arrested in Greenwood Park at his hideout.

“The arrest emanates from an incident which occurred on the night of August 14, 2021, at Doboti area in Nsuze policing precinct, where it is alleged that a group of friends were consuming alcohol at a homestead. An argument broke out between two men when one of them wanted to leave with the alcohol.

“The suspect and the deceased Lindokuhle Mkhize (27) had a physical fight where the suspect was beaten. The perpetrator took out a knife and stabbed the victim once on the left side of the chest. Mkhize succumbed to his injury at the scene. A case of murder was opened at Nsuze for investigation,” she said. 

Mbele said the suspect will appear in Maphumulo Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
