uMhlanga housebreaking suspects flee with car

It is unknown how many suspects entered the property and fled with various items.

HILKEN Drive in uMhlanga was abuzz with activity on Sunday morning after a suspect/suspects broke into a home and fled with various items belonging to the household.

Among those items was a blue Mercedes Benz, a flat-screen TV, a gas gun and tools.

Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell said that armed response officers reported to the scene after the dispatch centre received a panic activation at 10:00.

“After investigation, it was established that an unknown number of suspects forced open the balcony window of the tenant’s flat,” he said.

Later that evening, at about 22:00, the vehicle was found partially stripped in KwaDabeka, L-Section.

Durban North SAPS arrived on scene and opened a case of housebreaking.
