Chairperson of the Durban North/Umhlanga CPF, Haden Searles, confirmed that no arrests had yet been made.

“We have a highly specialised unit to investigate called the FCS. They specialise in sexual assault cases, and they are all taken seriously. There have been claims on social media saying the victim’s drink was spiked, however, that all forms part of the investigation. The incident is of a sensitive nature, and I can confirm investigations are ongoing,” he said.
