Community help needed for planned capture of Ridge Road rabbits
Quarmby is concerned over the safety of the rabbits which roam the area freely. She is also certain that they are breeding which is another concern.
AN advocate for small animals and rabbit lover is calling on the community, especially children, to help capture the colony of rabbits that roam the vicinity of Ridge Road in uMhlanga.

These rabbits were dumped and need to be captured and taken to a place of safety soon, says Stacey Quarmby, a volunteer for 3Rs Rescue.
The planned capture will take place on Ridge Road (look for the red bunny signs) on Saturday, April 12 at 07:30.
“I believe many of these rabbits have been abandoned and have likely bred since being left on their own. I managed to capture one of them last Saturday. I believe there are more which need to be found and taken to safety,” she said.
“I am calling on residents in the area to bring along as many people as they can to help in the search. We also need funds to take care of these rabbits,” she added.
