According to Mark Bandi, Pick n Pay’s Head of Small Business Development, the market aims to “build sustainable partnerships with small suppliers who bring unique, high-quality products to customers”.

“Each year, we identify local businesses based on the uniqueness of their products, their quality, and competitive pricing,” said Bandi.

“It’s inspiring to see these entrepreneurs grow from small community operations to nationally recognised brands.”
