Ward councillor Bradley Singh confirmed that valves would need to be shut to allow plumbers to carry out repairs.
“The affected areas are Virginia, Glenashley and parts of La Lucia. Plumbers have been dispatched and repairs are underway. We are unaware of a turnaround time yet, however there will be an interruption to water supply,” said Singh.
He added that residents would be kept informed of developments and the restoration of services via WhatsApp groups for Glenashley and Virginia as well as Facebook. Residents can also report faults on UP-WARD.
