Passerby finds decomposed body in Durban North
The community is urged to contact Durban North SAPS should they have any information pertaining to the incident.
A DECOMPOSED body was discovered on Riverside Road in Umgeni Park earlier this afternoon (Monday).
According to a press statement from Marshall Security, a member of the public alerted a security officer from a complex in Soofie Saheb Road to the grisly find, stating that the body was hanging from a tree.
The security officer then alerted Marshall Security at about 13:30. Shortly after, armed response officers and members of their special operations team arrived at the scene.

Durban North SAPS and Metro Police Search and Rescue then took over the investigation.
“Durban North SAPS has confirmed that a case has been opened, and they will conduct the necessary inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic discovery,” said Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.
