ONE person was killed and two others injured following a head-on collision on the M4 Ruth First Highway near uMhlanga this morning.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said paramedics responded to the scene, which occurred just after 07:00, where they found that a light delivery vehicle and a Volkswagen Citi Golf had collided head-on at high speed.
“The driver and only occupant of the car, a male believed to be approximately forty years of age, was declared dead on arrival of the paramedics,” he said.
“The two occupants of the delivery vehicle suffered moderate injuries and were treated and stabilised on scene before being taken to a nearby hospital,” added van Reenen.
