Family thrills in uMhlanga and surrounds

Finding ways to keep young children entertained needn't be difficult with these three local spots.

ARE you sick and tired of hearing the words, ‘Mommy, I’m bored’?
If you’re a mom to little children, needless to say, it’s a challenge to keep them entertained.
On the other hand, some of us are tired of visiting the same places and eating at the same restaurants; the monotony is draining.
If you’ve run out of options on how to keep everyone entertained, try these family-orientated places…
Pools and all things cool:
Reef Cafe in Lagoon Drive, uMhlanga offers access cards to the public to use out of season for the entire year. The card gets you access to The Breakers Resort and the use of six different pools at the resort and all the restaurants. The cost is R600 for two adults and four children. Pay at the bar at Reef Cafe.
It takes a village:
Have you recently had a baby or are you a new mom looking to connect with other moms while catching up on work or a coffee, but you can’t find a place that offers you all of this under one roof? You know, like a mom club? Then, head over to The Village at Sunningdale Centre. Membership is R500 per month. There are even babysitters to watch your cherub while you relax, work or eat.
Work hard, play hard:
If the hustle and bustle of shopping malls and restaurants just isn’t your vibe, then the uMhlanga Promenade Playground should do the trick. Let the children swing, dive, climb and jump off the newly completed jungle gym while you relax on one of the benches under the trees.
