WATCH: Alleged house burglar found hiding in wine cellar

Marshall Security members crawled under the house and cornered the suspect who was found with the stolen goods in his possession.

A REPEAT offender, who was apprehended at the same property last November for housebreaking, was yet again caught red-handed, but this time, he took cover underneath the house with the stolen goods.

Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell said the dispatch centre had received a call from a client on Kenneth Kaunda Road in the Durban North area, who reported that their gardener noticed someone breaking into their house.

“Our team members arrived on the scene to find the suspect hiding in the cellar under the house with the stolen items in his possession. Members crawled under the house where the suspect was cornered. He was immediately apprehended,” said Powell.

The suspect had forced open a kitchen window to get into the house.

The suspect was taken to Durban North SAPS. He will be charged with housebreaking (house burglary) and theft.
