City to collect unwanted e-waste at recycling drop-off stations
Cleansing and Solid Waste (CSW), in partnership with Psixteen, will be collecting e-waste in various areas in Durban this week.

IF you have old or unwanted electronic items at home and want to send them to be recycled, go down to the eThekwini Municipality’s e-waste stations that will be stationed around the City this week.
The recycling of e-waste serves many useful purposes, including protecting human and environmental health by keeping electronic devices out of landfills. It also enables the recovery of parts within the devices that still have value and provides manufacturers with recycled metals, allowing electronic manufacturers to use the parts to make new products.

Cleansing and Solid Waste (CSW), in partnership with Psixteen, will be collecting e-waste in various areas on Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13 from 09:00 to 15:00.
E-waste stations will be operating at the following locations in Durban:
- 188 Sandile Thusi Road (CSW Education Offices)
- La Lucia Library (1 Library Lane)
- Westville Civic Centre (1 William Lester Drive)
- Tongaat Sizakala Centre (325 Gopallal Husband Road)
