Brothers shot in Kenville shooting

Both brothers were standing along the roadside when armed men opened fire on them in the Kenville area last night. A murder and attempted murder case has been opened by Greenwood Park SAPS.

A SHOOTING incident, which occurred in Kenville on Tuesday night, has left one person dead and the other injured.

The victims, brothers, were standing at the corner of Hendon and Wembley roads when the incident took place.

According to  Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell, officers responded to the scene where they learnt that the brothers had been shot by an unknown number of armed suspects.

“The dispatch centre received an urgent call for assistance via a community WhatsApp Crime Alert Group regarding a shooting incident. Upon their arrival, our team was confronted with a tragic scene: two brothers had been victims of a shooting carried out by an unknown number of armed suspects.

“One of the brothers sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh, and his ear was grazed by a bullet, while the other tragically lost his life to a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced deceased on the scene by Netcare911 paramedics,” said Powell.

Greenwood Park SAPS are investigating a case of attempted murder and murder.
