The items were taken during a house burglary on Belvedere Road in the Red Hill area. The property owners contacted Marshall Security and informed them that the suspects had fled the scene towards North Coast Road.

“Our armed response officers were immediately dispatched to the scene, and an accurate description of the suspects was obtained. While searching along North Coast Road, officers spotted the suspects heading towards a nearby informal settlement. Backup was immediately dispatched,” said Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.

“One suspect was apprehended with stolen items while the second suspect managed to evade arrest after fleeing into the informal settlement,” he added.

The stolen items recovered were positively identified by the homeowner whose house was broken into in Red Hill.

Greenwood Park SAPS were called to the scene.
