Four arrested, two stolen vehicles recovered in SAPS operation
Two vehicles stolen from Durban and Pietermaritzburg were recovered by police, and three of the suspects were taken to the Greenwood Park Police Station.
A TOTAL of four suspects have been arrested in connection with the recovery of stolen vehicles after a successful operation between SAPS Crime Intelligence, Greenwood Park SAPS Trio Crimes and Marshall Security.
The suspects were arrested on Saturday, September 28, after three suspects were spotted travelling on Queen Nandi Drive.
According to Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell, the suspects were using a white VW Golf GTI 6 that was suspected to have been stolen.

“Teams moved in swiftly, and the vehicle was stopped where three suspects were immediately apprehended. Upon further investigation, it was established that the vehicle was fitted with false number plates and the vehicle had indeed been stolen earlier this month outside a well-known hotel on the Durban beachfront.
“All three suspects and the stolen vehicle were transported to Greenwood Park SAPS. During questioning, the suspects led the team to the Newlands area where one suspect was apprehended together with the assistance of Newlands East SAPS after being found in possession of a grey Toyota Hilux which had also been stolen in February this year in the Pietermaritzburg area,” Powell.
The vehicle was also fitted with false plates.
