The men, pretending to be policemen, robbed the two residents of cash and a cellphone.

THREE suspects, pretending to be police officers, robbed a Matheran Road home in Avoca on Monday morning, fleeing with cash and cellphones.

“At approximately 8:00, Swift Private Security received several reports about a robbery on Matheran Road in Avoca. Our officers promptly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they engaged with the two victims, who explained that around 7:30, three suspects entered their yard wearing bulletproof vests and falsely identifying themselves as police officers,” said Sooklall.
They then demanded cash and cellphones, which the victims handed over.
“The details of the vehicle used by the suspects are still under investigation. No physical harm came to the victims during the incident,” he added.
