According to Marshall Security, the teenager ran into a client’s business for help at 12.40 on Thursday afternoon after the ordeal.

“At approximately 12:40 yesterday afternoon, a member of our Special Operations Team received reports of a visibly shaken teenager who had rushed into one of our client’s offices in the Virginia area, alleging she had been sexually assaulted and held against her will by a man she knew, said Marshall spokesperson, Tyron Powell.

He said Marshall Security’s Community Support and Special Operation Team acted swiftly and rushed to the scene. Durban North SAPS arrived soon after.

“The victim provided a detailed description of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle. Working from the information received, teams responded to the possible location of the suspect’s whereabouts in the Morningside area,” added Powell.

He was immediately apprehended and transported to Durban North SAPS for further investigation.

“Further investigations revealed that the suspect was linked to a kidnapping case which was reported in the Amanzimtoti area and the detective dealing with the case was informed accordingly. This rapid response highlights the dedication of Marshall Security and Durban North SAPS to safeguard the community and pursue justice without delay,” said Powell.
