Man found hiding in Rosehill home ceiling

The incident in Rosehill led security officers to finding a suspect hiding in the ceiling of a home.

GREENWOOD Park SAPS has taken custody of a man who was caught hiding in a ceiling in a Rosehill home earlier today.

According to Marshall Security’s Tyron Powell, armed response officers responded to a potential house break-in after receiving a message on a WhatsApp Crime Alert group at 06:30.

“Armed Response Officers were immediately dispatched to investigate the incident on Lovat Road. Upon arrival, the officers began conducting a thorough property check,” he said.

Suspicious noises from the ceiling led them to believe that someone could be hiding up there.

“Following a closer inspection, they indeed did find a suspect hiding. He was swiftly apprehended,” added Powell.

The property owner was informed of the situation and confirmed she would open a case against the suspect.
