Glenashley Preparatory School celebrates Founder’s Day

Glenashley Preparatory School celebrated Founder's Day on Friday, February 20, encouraging learners to sport their Scout uniforms.

SCOUTS and volunteers across the world celebrated Founder’s Day on February 22, honouring the birthday of Scouting founder Lord Robert Baden-Powell, whose vision sparked the global Scout Movement.

Scouts were encouraged to wear their Scout uniforms or SCOUTS SA-branded T-shirts to work or school and share their Scouting stories with pride, making visible the impact of a Movement grounded in values and dedicated to changing lives.

Glenashley Preparatory School were honoured to be able to assist in celebrating this important day and increasing awareness of the Scouts in the community, especially Trafalgar Sea Scouts members, Jia and Juhina Sharma, who wore their uniforms to school on February 20 to mark the occasion.

“We are very proud of these young ladies, impeccably turned out in their uniforms, their merit badges on their sleeves a clear indication of how much they are enjoying their Scouting. Well done girls!” said the school.
