The Reintroductions art exhibition brings together a group of several artists, Sthenjwa Luthuli, Wonderbuhle, Nindya Bucktowar, Nikhil Tricam and Lusanda Ndita.
They have studios in the Maingate Building and are part of the current community.
The exhibition also includes the contributions of Harry Lock, Paige Furness, Roger Jardine and Dane Stops.
Space convenor Niamh Walsh-Vorster emphasised that Durban is a great city to make things happen.
“Artists from outside this province are welcome to propose exhibitions and projects to share here. This call extends the exhibition’s premise beyond reintroduction, positioning Art-ists Collective (AC) as an active site for future collaboration and dialogue across South Africa,” she said.

One woman show brings the drama [Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26]
A Woman Apart, a new one-hander drama by Naresh Veeran, featuring award-winning KZN actress Kajal Maharaj, comes to the Seabrookes Theatre at DHS campus for a short season from Friday, April 24, until Sunday, April 26.
Presented as a one-woman live on-stage performance, an immersive theatre experience supports it through a creative mix of AI and video technology.
“It is a story of personal freedom that comes only through honest reflection of one’s choices and decisions,” said writer and director Naresh Veeran. “The key message of A Woman Apart is that it is a self-generated consequence of what remains of us when such pursuits are seen for exactly what they are. Through Kajal’s performance, this play shows one possible how.”
