Durban North church to showcase floral arrangements

Floral arrangements will be displayed in various spaces around the church, including its windows, altar and entrances.

ORGANISERS of the ‘Flowers Through The Church’ event have encouraged the community to come out and support them next week.

From Friday, June 12 until Sunday, June 14, floral arrangements will be on full display at St Martin’s Church in Durban North.

Aside from the beautiful aesthetics, the event is a way to give glory to God and His creations, explained the church.

Sharon Liebetrau, one of the organisers of ‘Flowers Through The Church’, said the event was open to all.

Floral arrangements will be displayed in various spaces around the church, including its windows, altar and entrances.

“This event is about looking at God’s creations of flowers and how uniquely they created and how beautiful they are. We look to giving Him the glory, to the glory of God. There will be some beautiful pieces on display but this event is open to all,” she said.

The event is free to the public and the church cafe will be available. There will also be an offering box available for donations.

The church is situated on 12 Chelsea Drive.
