IEC recruiting electoral staff ahead of local government elections
The Electoral Commission (IEC) is recruiting temporary electoral staff across all 13 eThekwini Metro sub-regions
The Electoral Commission (IEC) has opened applications for a range of temporary electoral officer positions as preparations for the upcoming local government elections gather pace.

The commission is recruiting across all 13 sub-regions of the eThekwini Metro and is calling on suitably qualified South Africans to apply online before the closing date of July 31.
Available positions include voters roll officers, queue walkers, door controllers, inkers, ballot paper issuers, and ballot booth/box controllers.
Applicants must be South African citizens who are registered voters, registered with the South African Revenue Service (SARS), have a valid personal bank account, and be in possession of a matric certificate. Candidates must also not have been politically active within the past five years.
The IEC said the appointments form part of its preparations to deliver free, fair and credible elections.
Interested applicants can view vacancies, create a profile and submit their applications through the IEC Careers Portal at https://online.elections.org.za/adminconsole/jobs/login.
