Vacancy at the South Durban Community Environmental Alliance for a Project Officer Project Overview: The project will focus on Climate Change, Development Planning, Policy and community-based research in KwaZulu-Natal. We are seeking a Project Officer to lead community engagement efforts in Durban and Richards Bay. The ideal candidate must be dedicated to the vision, mission, and values of the South Durban Community Environmental Alliance (SDCEA). Job Location: The position requires travel between the Durban and Richards Bay offices, and the project implementation will commence immediately. Key Requirements:
•Education: Grade 12 Certificate plus a Bachelor`s degree or Advanced Diploma in Environmental Science, Urban Geography, Social Science, Urban Studies, Community-Engaged Research, or a related field.
•Experience: At least 3 years in the social or environmental justice sector; hands-on project management experience.
•Languages: Proficiency in English or IsiZulu.
•License: Valid Code 8 or 10 driver`s license.
•Skills: Public speaking, budget implementation understanding, computer literacy (MS Office, SharePoint, Google Drive), and community engagement experience. How to Apply:
