This started when we handed our then superb, working infrastructure (paid for and managed by the minority) to the ANC,’ writes Mr Layzell.
The atrocities of the apartheid regime meted out by a minority group against the black majority remains one of the most hideous forms of human rights violations in recent history.
Instead of denouncing apartheid, Mr Layzell lauds the infrastructure developments in the apartheid era failing to realise that it served to benefit the white minority alone.
Further, it was not a gracious donation to the ANC. The ANC remains the democratically elected government of the day and I would rather them in power.
These myopic viewpoints have no place in a country grappling with many social ills. Despite our many challenges, there remains so many positives we can celebrate in this beautiful land. Let’s start by celebrating our diversity.
