Inadequate shelter, polluted surroundings and the lack of recreational facilities. The stench of faeces and urine permeates the air and runs down pathways between the shacks and houses.
I use the words forced to live as their conditions are a direct result of a dysfunctional system that should be there to protect their rights.
All of the National Government, Provincial Government and Local Government Structures and employees responsible for these deplorable conditions, should be ashamed of themselves.
Shame on you for all your political bickering,self-serviceness and inefficiencies resulting in the plight of these children.
Shame on you for not doing your job and drawing a salary for not doing what you are supposed to do.
Shame on you for allowing not only this informal settlement, but many others around the country to exist and force children to live under these conditions.
Shame on you! You know who you are.
