Parsons guides Dolphins home against Lions

The Dolphins won their first game of the competition.

A measured, undefeated half century from Hollywoodbets Dolphins opener Bryce Parsons helped the Dolphins to an important four wicket win over the DP World Lions in the CSA T20 Challenge at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Parsons played the perfect knock in the circumstances as the Dolphins were chasing a tricky 156 to beat a star-studded Lions outfit.

He finished on 62 not out off 49 balls that included four fours and three sixes as he, along with contributions from Jason Smith (32) and a flurry at the end from Andile Phehlukwayo (14), got the Dolphins their first win of the competition.

Temba Bavum top scored for the visitors with 53 with Rassie van der Dussen scoring 28 to help them post a target of 155/5.

Dolphins bowlers Okuhle Cele shone with the ball picking up 2/21 in his four overs while Ottniel Baartman took 2/25.

This was the Dolphins first win of the competition after losses in their opening two games.

Result:  DP World Lions 155/5 (20 overs) – Hollywoodbets Dolphins 159/6 (19.1 overs) [Hollywoodbets Dolphins win by four wickets]
