Castle Lite’s Extra Cold 440 event reeled in a larger than usual crowd at the Melville News Café on 24 August.

This was one of many weekly events Castle Lite is hosting for competition winners and in celebration of its new 440ml NRB eight pack. The event featured the DJ search winner, DJ NTK, from the University of Johannesburg, Castle Lite icebreaker Teabag, Yfm’s Sizwe Dlhomo and DJ Warras as well as DJ Franky.

Students and workers alike braved the cold to experience an extra cold night with Castle Lite.

Popular to those who attended the event were the mind reading machine and the life size inflatable igloo inside which a video of Castle Lite party experiences was displayed digitally on its ceiling.

Thato Tshabala (DJ NTK) said winning the DJ search is a great opportunity for him and that he is looking forward to what lies ahead. “Winning this competition means a lot and I think it’s going to open some doors for me because I’ve already made a lot of contacts. I actually want to tour with the icebreakers,” said Tshabalala.
