Well-known artist and Melville resident Bonnie Walters unveiled Done-Undone, a collection of mixed media artwork at the Bamboo Lifestyle Centre recently. Pursuing the themes of self-discovery and self-expression by reconnecting with the inner child, she presented an exhibition of new works of mostly charcoal on paper.

“Done-Undone deals with the child within,” says Walters, “the honest child that brings up feelings of memory and nostalgia. It is also a commentary on the way you depict a person and how they make sense of the world around them, but I like things that are real and my work must come from a place of integrity. I hate pretense so I need to feel the art I create. At the same time, as an artist you put yourself into the work but the reactions of people can be very ambivalent. Some people find Done-Undone to be cute and endearing while others find it completely dark.”
