Resident hosts party for Children of Fire
MELVILLE - Johan Coetzer opens his home to the Children of Fire and other neighbours
Melville resident, Johan Coetzer welcomed neighbours to his home on 14 September for a party dedicated to the Children of Fire charity based in Auckland Park. The event also celebrated the birthday of the charity’s founder, Bronwen Jones.
Guests were treated to delicious sweet treats and goodies while the children danced, swam and played with water balloons.
“It is very sweet of another resident to keep a party for our children. Johan came into our lives and in an old pensioner we have found a warm-hearted person with event management skills,” commented Jones.
Children of Fire helps young survivors of burn injuries (whether by fire, chemicals, electricity or hot liquids) with recovery and educates the communities in which they live, providing both prevention and cure.
