They came, they saw, they browsed, they bought. The Friends of the Johannesburg Public Libraries would like to thank Joburgers for coming out in their numbers on Sunday to support its bumper

book sale at Marks Park.

The book sale raised approximately R62 000, which will be donated to the City of Johannesburg's public libraries across all its sectors.

Enjoying the balmy summery weather at Marks Park in Emmarentia, bargain-hunters were delighted to discover a wide selection of second-hand books, from fiction and non-fiction titles to children's books

and textbooks, available at rock-bottom prices.

Book lovers are urged to continue supporting the city's libraries and to watch the media for the details of the next massive book sale.

In the meantime, happy reading!
