Northcliff Rotary launches satellite club
NORTHCLIFF- Rotary club recognizes outstanding members.
Six new Rotary members were inducted into the first satellite club of Northcliff Rotary Club on Tuesday 20 August.
“We are so excited to launch our first satellite club in the district, and perhaps in the country,” said Anneas Balt, district governor of Rotary, during his visit to the region.
“We warmly welcome these extraordinary women into the family of Rotary.”
The new members are leaders in their professions and in communities around Gauteng. The Rotary Club of Northcliff has close relationships with each of these members as they have served as volunteers on various community structures and have made significant differences to the lives of the needy.
Rotary’s main objective is service in the community, in the workplace, and around the globe. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world share a dedication to the ideal of ‘service above self’.
Rotary clubs are open to people of all cultures and ethnicities and are not affiliated with any political or religious organizations.
