“The Fish River was wild this year,” said spokesperson of Gauteng Canoe Union Jennie Dallas.

“We are also very proud of the Sowetan paddlers who once again were among the top finishers from Gauteng in the senior and junior age groups, which once again proves the effectiveness of the sponsorships and support which has successfully integrated the sport,” informed Dallas.

And for those who did not do well, Dallas advised that, “You can always go back and do it next year.”
