A total of 12 people were injured after a taxi overturned on the corner of Beyers Naudé Drive and Judith Road, Melville, on the evening of 7 August.
According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, paramedics arrived on the scene to find the taxi lying on its side on the side of the road.
“Further inspection showed that all the occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle,” he said.
“Paramedics assessed the patients on scene and found that 12 had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported.”
Paramedics treated the patients and then transported them to various hospitals nearby, including Helen Joseph Hospital.
