This is the second consecutive year that UJ has brought together both past and present UJ singers to unite in an evening of celebration for the beauty that is music. The choir started in the 60s and forms an important part of the institution’s culture and traditions.

The night left audiences eager for more songs and they were not disappointed.

There was an equal mix of international and local ballads which were either conducted by UJ Choir conductors, Renette Bouwer and Sidumo Nyamezele. Bouwer conducted songs such as I will lift up mine eyes, Lofsang van Maria and A Spotless Rose. One of the songs that was a crowd favourite was Fever which was sung by Tiego Tsolanku who was accompanied by the choir.
