Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital donates shoes to Westbury Primary School

The head of the hospital's board said it was a privilege to hand over the gifts which were collected by his daughter and son who collected donations from friends and the community.

Children at Westbury Primary School were the lucky recipients of 96 pairs of new shoes donated by generous community members.

Terry Olifant, chairperson of the Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital board said, “This gift to these kids who through no fault of their own, find themselves on the margins of society. I wish to express my love and immense appreciation to my daughter Ayanda and her friends, and to Eduardo my son and his friends for making this possible.”

Principal of the school, Oliver Roskin, said, “We are so grateful for the donation and hopes the new relationship between the school and hospital will be a good and long one.”
