Witness the intense competition and impressive skills on display as the Siyazenzela Closed 2024 Tournament brought bowlers together of all ages and skill levels at Northcliff Tenpin Bowling Centre.

The Northcliff Tenpin Bowling Centre recently played host to the Siyazenzela Closed 2024 Tournament, attracting a diverse field of 23 players of various ages and skill levels. This handicap-based tournament followed the format of the renowned American Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Masters event, featuring a double elimination setup.

In the double elimination format, each bowler must lose twice in order to be eliminated from the competition. Throughout the tournament, all participants were required to play a minimum of six games, showcasing their bowling prowess and resilience.

The semi-final round witnessed an impressive performance by Mandy Ogilvie, who achieved a score of 209, defeating Gail Quin, who scored 192. This victory propelled Ogilvie into the much-anticipated final.

The highly anticipated final showdown saw Annalese Esterhuizen and Mandy Ogilvie go head to head in a tightly contested match. After a display of skill, determination, and nerves of steel, Esterhuizen emerged as the victor with a score of 202, narrowly surpassing Ogilvie’s commendable score of 200.

Esterhuizen’s exceptional performance throughout the tournament secured her the coveted first-place position, showcasing her remarkable skills and dedication to the sport. Ogilvie’s impressive display earned her a well-deserved second-place finish, while Quin demonstrated her talent and sportsmanship, securing the third-place spot.
