Crossroads School races downhill in 2025 Soapbox Derby
Not even the threat of rain could dampen the enthusiasm of the racers at this years Crossroads School Soapbox Derby.
Fun came speeding down the track at Crossroads School when they hosted the 2025 Soapbox Derby.
Not even the likelihood of rain could put a dampener on the energy that pulsated through the school, when all that was on anyone’s mind was the finish line, and the glory of a grand win.

Teams not only prepped themselves in momentum, but in unique gear which showed their creativity perfectly. From the zip of the Checkers 60 team and the gamers of the Minecraft team, to the ‘Don’t take no breaks’ KitKat team, there was a plethora of really cool team gear to make one feel they’d truly been spectators of the ultimate soapbox derby.
This much-loved race started in Dayton, Ohio, in 1934. Said to have been started by a group of friends who constructed racing cars from scraps of lumber, by the looks of things, it may have started in Ohio, but the children over in Victory Park perfected it.
