It is with the spirit of gratitude of the growth experienced in 2025, that Hoërskool Linden principal Dr Johan Wiehahn enters 2026 – acknowledging staff, supportive parents, and learners who continue to carry the Linden spirit with pride.
His hope is that the new year is one filled with collaboration, inclusivity, and continued progress. “Our goal is to strengthen relationships, offer support where it’s needed, and create an environment where every learner and family feels valued.”

The school welcomes the new year with reflection, gratitude, and a refreshed sense of purpose, welcoming all the new parents and Grade 8 learners who will soon become part of the Linden family.
As they step out of 2025, the greatest lesson Wiehahn takes with him into the new year is that community always wins. “When we work together, trust each other, and stay committed to a shared vision, we overcome challenges and build something that lasts.”
He encouraged the greater community to boldly step into 2026, seeing it as a fresh chapter – one full of opportunity. Further imploring us to choose hope, kindness, and to believe in the impact we can make. As small acts of courage and care shape remarkable futures.

This new year will see the school expand their academic offerings, strengthen their sports and cultural programmes, as well as deepen their community outreach. “We are especially excited about initiatives that empower our learners to grow, lead, and shine.”
This year, he hopes the school’s impact on the community is being the daily example of excellence, integrity, and compassion. All in hopes that they uplift families, inspire learners, and strengthen the bonds that make the Linden community so special.
Their goal is to be a place where everyone feels supported and where dreams are nurtured into reality.
