Teen hopes for more freedom as he explores the world
Parents need to trust their children says Deacon Robert if they have good communication and bonds.
Deacon Robert is a young man who hopes parents who have good relationships with their teenage children will grant them some freedom to explore the world safely.
Here are his thoughts:
I think there is an issue with parents not trusting their children and not allowing them to go out.
I understand that parents think that we will be influenced by the people we chill with and it’s true but we are capable of making decent friends.
If you know that you have raised your child right, you know that your child is gonna follow the morals that you have set inside the household, then have faith that nothing bad will happen.
So allowing your children to go out will let them become more comfortable and it will also make them more open with their parents.
I think parents don’t trust some children because of all of the things they are exposed to such as smoking joints and other stuff. Some parents think if it is happening around their children, then they will do it and it’s not always that way.
This shows the importance of children and parents having good lines of communication open so concerns can be talked about openly rather than just keeping quiet.
